On engines with chain driven intake camshaft(s), but belt driven exhaust camshaft(s), verify the number of chain roller links between the intake and exhaust camshafts is correct.

Special Notes

North American Region (NAR):
- When found in 2009 Audi A4, A5 or Q5 with 3.2l FSI (AVE):
  - TSB 15-09-04 / 2018621. Cam adjuster solenoid may be contaminated.
- When found in 2008+ VW/Audi 2.0 TSI w/ Timing Chain (i.e. CCTA/CBFA):
  - Ross-Tech Forums: 2.0L Chain Drive - P0016 Cam/Crank Correlation Check
  - A faulty spool valve (control valve) in a 2012 Jetta with CBFA 2.0T.
  - TT 01-15-08 (via NHTSA). Information about the intake camshaft, adjuster bridge and spool valve.
  - TSB 2045454 (via NHTSA). Strainer screen in the camshaft bearing bracket can tear and cause camshaft adjuster issues.
  - TSB 15-12-01 / 2028302 (via NHTSA). No-start timing chain related problems.
  - TT 10-18-01 (via NHTSA). Rattle Noise on Start Up, with Camshaft Timing Faults 2010 - 2018 1.8 and 2.0
- When found in 2015 2.0L TDI (CVCA/CRUA):
  - TSB 01-17-04 / 2040171 (via NHTSA). The camshaft adjuster control valve may stick.
